Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: June 6 2026

Welcome to UpTrain. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the UpTrain website, course pages, enrollment process, student dashboard, payment plans, training programs, externship support, career support services, and related services.

By using our website, creating an account, submitting an enrollment form, making a payment, accessing a course, or using any UpTrain service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or enroll in any program.

1. About UpTrain

UpTrain provides access to online, career-focused training programs offered in partnership with educational institutions, training providers, and career support partners. Programs may include online coursework, ebooks or course materials, mentor support, externship support, payment plan options, and career assistance services, depending on the program selected.

UpTrain is not an employer, licensing agency, certification board, or government agency.

2. Eligibility

By using this website or enrolling in a program, you confirm that:

  1. You are at least 18 years old, or you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  2. The information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.
  3. You are financially responsible for all tuition, fees, and charges associated with your enrollment.
  4. You understand that some programs may have additional requirements, including but not limited to background checks, immunization records, identification documents, externship site requirements, technical requirements, or state-specific rules.

UpTrain reserves the right to decline, suspend, or cancel an enrollment if false, misleading, incomplete, or unverifiable information is provided.

3. Program Information

UpTrain makes every effort to provide accurate and updated information regarding program descriptions, tuition, payment options, estimated completion times, course inclusions, externship support, certification preparation, and career support services.

However, program details may change due to school, partner, regulatory, certification, or operational updates.

Program pages are for informational purposes only. Your official program details will be reflected in your enrollment summary, registration confirmation, or other written enrollment documentation provided to you.

4. Enrollment Summary

Before completing enrollment, you will receive or be shown an enrollment summary that may include:

  1. Program name
  2. School or training partner
  3. Tuition amount
  4. Payment option selected
  5. Payment schedule
  6. Program inclusions
  7. Course materials
  8. Externship information, if applicable
  9. Certification exam or voucher information, if applicable
  10. Other enrollment-specific terms

By submitting payment or confirming enrollment, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and accepted the details in your enrollment summary.

5. Tuition and Payment Options

UpTrain may offer different payment options, including but not limited to:

  1. Payment in full
  2. Monthly installment plans
  3. Other approved payment arrangements

All tuition amounts, due dates, and payment schedules will be shown in your enrollment summary or checkout page before payment is submitted.

By selecting a payment plan, you authorize UpTrain and/or its payment processor to charge your selected payment method according to the payment schedule shown at the time of enrollment.

You are responsible for ensuring that your payment method remains valid and has sufficient funds available on each scheduled payment date.

6. Recurring Payments and Payment Reminders

If you enroll using a payment plan, your payments will be charged automatically according to the schedule provided in your enrollment summary.

Payment reminders are sent approximately 2 days before the next scheduled payment. These reminders are provided as a courtesy. Failure to receive or read a reminder does not remove your responsibility to make payments on time.

If a payment fails, UpTrain may retry the payment, contact you for an updated payment method, restrict course access, pause services, or take other reasonable steps to collect the unpaid balance.

7. Discontinuing Enrollment

If you wish to discontinue your enrollment, you must send a written email notification to UpTrain at least 24 hours before your next scheduled charge is due.

Discontinuation requests must be sent to:

support@uptrain.me

Your request should include your full name, email address used for enrollment, program name, and a clear statement that you wish to discontinue your enrollment.

If your scheduled charge proceeds because no documented discontinuation request was received at least 24 hours before the next payment due date, that charge is considered valid and is not refundable, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Discontinuing enrollment may result in loss of course access, student dashboard access, externship support, career support, certificate eligibility, and other program-related services.

8. Refund Policy

UpTrain’s refund policy is as follows:

  1. No refund will be processed once the program has been accessed.
Access may include logging into the course platform, opening course materials, starting coursework, receiving access credentials, using student resources, or otherwise beginning the program.

  2. No refund will be processed if no documented request was made before the next scheduled charge.
Students on payment plans must submit any discontinuation or cancellation request by email at least 24 hours before the next scheduled charge.

  3. Charges that process as scheduled are not refundable.
If a payment is charged according to the payment schedule and no timely written request was received, the payment is final and non-refundable.

  4. Payment reminders are sent approximately 2 days before scheduled payments.
These reminders are provided to help students manage upcoming charges, but the student remains responsible for tracking payment dates.

  5. Refunds, if approved, will be returned to the original payment method when possible.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

  6. Exceptions may apply only where required by applicable law.

9. Certificate of Completion

As stated in your enrollment summary, your Certificate of Completion will be sent after completion of all required coursework and completion of all required payments.

Students with an outstanding balance are not eligible to receive their Certificate of Completion until the balance has been paid in full.

A Certificate of Completion confirms completion of the training program. It does not guarantee employment, licensure, state registration, certification exam passage, externship placement, or eligibility for a specific job.

10. Course Access

Course access begins once enrollment is processed and access credentials are issued, unless otherwise stated.

Students are responsible for maintaining access to a reliable internet connection, compatible device, valid email address, and any software or technology required to complete the program.

UpTrain is not responsible for delays caused by student technology issues, incomplete student information, failed payments, third-party platform interruptions, or failure to respond to required communications.

11. Course Materials

Programs may include ebooks, digital materials, online modules, study guides, or other learning resources.

Ebooks are generally included with programs, unless otherwise stated. For Medical Billing and Coding, a physical book may be included as part of the course materials.

Course materials are provided for the enrolled student’s personal educational use only. Students may not copy, share, sell, distribute, upload, reproduce, or misuse course materials without written permission.

12. Certification Exams and Vouchers

Some programs may prepare students for national certification exams. However, national certification exams, exam fees, and vouchers are not included in all programs.

A certification exam voucher is included only if clearly stated in the program page, enrollment summary, or written enrollment documentation.

UpTrain does not guarantee that a student will pass any certification exam. Certification exam eligibility, requirements, scheduling, and results are controlled by the applicable certification body.

13. Full Payment Incentives

Students who pay in full may be eligible to choose between a laptop or an NWCA certificate exam voucher, if stated in the enrollment offer or enrollment summary.

Eligibility for any full-payment incentive is subject to full payment being successfully completed and cleared. UpTrain reserves the right to set reasonable fulfillment timelines, substitution rules, shipping requirements, and verification requirements.

Full-payment incentives have no cash value and may not be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash unless UpTrain agrees in writing.

14. Externship Support

Externship support is offered for UpTrain programs, unless otherwise stated in the enrollment summary.

UpTrain and its partners work to place eligible students at an externship site within approximately 30 minutes of the student’s residence, when available and practical. Externship placement may depend on student location, site availability, program requirements, background checks, immunization records, student responsiveness, and externship site approval.

UpTrain does not guarantee that a specific site, schedule, supervisor, location, or start date will be available.

Students must comply with all externship site rules, attendance requirements, professional conduct standards, documentation requests, and safety policies. Failure to meet externship requirements may result in delay, removal, or loss of externship opportunity.

15. Job Placement and Career Assistance

UpTrain may provide job placement assistance and career support through its partners, including ReadyToWork or other career service providers.

Career support may include resume assistance, job search guidance, interview preparation, employer connections, or related services.

Job placement assistance is not a guarantee of employment. UpTrain does not guarantee that a student will receive a job offer, interview, salary increase, promotion, license, certification, or specific career outcome.

Employment outcomes depend on many factors outside UpTrain’s control, including student effort, location, qualifications, employer demand, background checks, labor market conditions, licensing requirements, certification results, and interview performance.

16. State Licensing and Employment Requirements

Some careers may require state licensing, registration, certification, background checks, drug screening, immunizations, clinical requirements, work authorization, or other qualifications.

Students are responsible for understanding the requirements that apply in their state or intended place of employment.

Completion of an UpTrain program does not guarantee that a student will meet all requirements for employment, certification, licensing, or registration in any state.

17. Student Responsibilities

By enrolling, you agree to:

  1. Provide accurate and current personal information.
  2. Monitor your email and student dashboard regularly.
  3. Complete coursework honestly and independently.
  4. Respond to requests from UpTrain, school partners, externship partners, or career support partners in a timely manner.
  5. Maintain a valid payment method for scheduled payments.
  6. Follow all course, school, externship, and platform rules.
  7. Treat staff, instructors, mentors, externship personnel, and support representatives respectfully.
  8. Avoid academic dishonesty, harassment, abuse, fraud, misuse of materials, or unauthorized sharing of access.

UpTrain may suspend or terminate access if a student violates these Terms.

18. Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

You may not share your account, course access, dashboard access, or learning materials with another person. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Notify UpTrain immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

19. Communications

By submitting your information or enrolling in a program, you agree that UpTrain may contact you regarding your inquiry, enrollment, payment schedule, student account, course access, support requests, externship, career services, and related updates.

Communications may be sent by email, phone, SMS, or other contact methods you provide, where permitted by law.

You are responsible for keeping your contact information current.

  5. Share, resell, or distribute course access or materials.
  6. Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm another person.
  7. Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
  8. Use UpTrain content for competing commercial purposes without permission.

22. Third-Party Services

UpTrain may use third-party platforms and service providers for payment processing, course delivery, student support, email communications, externship coordination, career support, analytics, and other services.

Use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms, policies, or requirements. UpTrain is not responsible for third-party platform outages, delays, errors, policy changes, or service interruptions outside its reasonable control.

23. Privacy

Your use of UpTrain is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information.

By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

24. Testimonials and Student Stories

UpTrain may share testimonials, reviews, student stories, or success highlights only with appropriate permission.

Student experiences may vary. Testimonials do not guarantee that future students will have the same results, complete the program in the same timeframe, obtain employment, pass certification exams, or achieve the same career outcome.

25. No Guarantee of Results

UpTrain provides training access, student support, externship support, and career assistance services. However, UpTrain does not guarantee:

  1. Employment
  2. Job interviews
  3. Certification exam passage
  4. State licensure or registration
  5. Salary increase
  6. Promotion
  7. Externship site preference
  8. Completion within a specific timeframe
  9. Acceptance by any employer, agency, or certification body

Your results depend on your effort, qualifications, location, responsiveness, background, market conditions, and third-party requirements.

26. Changes to Programs or Services

UpTrain may update, modify, replace, suspend, or discontinue any website feature, program detail, course inclusion, partner service, tuition offer, payment option, or promotional incentive at any time.

Changes will not affect amounts already agreed upon in an active enrollment summary unless required by law, partner policy, or written agreement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UpTrain shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website, enrollment in a program, inability to access services, payment issues, third-party services, employment outcomes, certification results, or externship-related matters.

UpTrain’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid directly to UpTrain for the specific program giving rise to the claim, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

29. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UpTrain, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, partners, service providers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:
